Holiday Emotions
Holiday emotions
Are you feeling more emotional during the holiday season? It’s easy for us to get caught up in heightened emotions. Much of it pertains to our family and friends, which are out of our control.
Some of us have more idle time during the holiday season allowing us time to think. This is a recipe for emotions!
Take a close look at yourself. Breakaway from that “stinkin’ thinkin’”!
Get busy with some very small activities that are not overwhelming. In other words, don’t take on a big task that you’ve been putting off. Break it down to tiny bits!
Don’t clean up the whole house. Just pick up one thing that’s been laying around.
Don’t clean up the whole yard. Just go out and put one thing away.
Don’t pressure yourself to a new unreasonable exercise routine. Do 2-5 minutes today beyond your norm.
Don’t set a new unrealistic weight loss goal. Try to lose one pound in the next two weeks by eating one less bite at a time.
Don’t burden yourself with mental obligations or demands. Give yourself a break! One little step at a time.
