Caught in heavy mind traffic? Ruminating? Stuck in the muck?
It’s so easy to get lost in the minds’ bombardment of nonsense.
It’s common to feel stressed, drowning in emotion.
Realize this… our feelings come from our thoughts. Our thoughts come from our mind.
The runaway mind operates, and projects, away from present time.
When we’re stressed, it’s from unconsciously listening to the mind, forecasting the unknown future.
Envision being up in the sky looking down from a “vertical” perspective… watching yourself and all other beings in motion, in real time, second by second.
Now… see what the mind is doing. It’s thinking “horizontally” out into the future or the past, cooking up twisted, scary scenarios.
Stay vertical, not horizontal. Discipline yourself to pay attention to this, and be aware.
Real life operates vertically, from moment to moment. Reality does not get ahead of itself (horizontally). Only the crazy mind does this.
